14 years designing from scratch, across health, fintech, and EdTech. Based in the US (MI), with roots in Brazil and experience working with teams across Europe and Asia.
I've led and coached designers, and stayed close to the craft the whole time. AI is part of my workflow to elevate quality.
Carnegie Learning has deep roots in AI-driven curriculum, but most teachers still planned their lessons from physical textbooks. The digital platform hadn't earned its place yet.
The course structure had four tiers all along, but the UI made it invisible. I redesigned the navigation to surface that hierarchy clearly, creating a template-driven system that reads the same way across Math, ELA, and World Languages, even though each subject is organized differently.
Working with the data team, I used AI to go from concept to a fully functional prototype running on real data in days, not weeks.
Results: Before launch, two districts that were threatening to churn decided to stay.
Alice Health was Brazil's first primary care-driven health insurance, built on the idea that keeping people healthy is more profitable than treating them when they're sick.
But the sales process relied heavily on reps spending time with people who didn't understand the model and would never buy, or buy and cause churn. I redesigned the sales platform into a guided flow where every channel — WhatsApp, email, text — brings the user back to exactly where they left off.
Each step is anchored by a video of a real salesperson, which we produced ourselves. Leads who engaged with the content converted 3x more. Result: The first health insurance plan purchased 100% online in Brazil, with no sales rep involved.
Moip was Brazil's leading payment solution for e-commerce and small businesses, with 300,000 customers processing over BRL 1 billion a year. The platform had grown fast but the interface hadn't kept up. It was outdated, incomplete, and starting to show.
I was hired specifically to redesign the full platform from scratch, and grew into leading a team of 4 designers. Together we redesigned the full dashboard and launched new products including a debit card and financial anticipation feature, all while the platform kept running without interruption.
Midway through, Wirecard acquired Moip for €23.5M, which brought collaboration with teams across Germany and Europe.
